Our plans for this year’s conference at the International Consumer Electronics Show are well underway. This year’s one-day conference and four-day exhibit area celebrates all things mom and tech and looks at how women’s influences on tech are changing things up. It will turn up the heat on some of the newest topics like what’s the coolest “mom” tech at CES, and who are the next generation of influential moms in the tech space.
HOT ITEMS ON THE MOM 2014 AGENDA
We’ll be discussing the Internet of Things – meaning everything in your home can now have an IP address in it and be controlled from your phone. Door locks controlled by mobile homes, car information systems, and misplaced item finders – we’ll look at them all. We’re showcasing the latest tools for connected moms from homework to home automation. From entertainment to safety and elegance, the connected home will have and be controlled by a woman’s touch. And so will the family car.

From robotic vacuums and window washers to thermostats and lighting controls, Moms are turning to technology to make some of their daily chores easier and less time-consuming. In most cases they are the primary tech purchaser in the household. Women account for 85% of all consumer purchases, and much of that is consumer tech. How are companies reaching these busy, connected moms? Find out what real women want, and how brands can send the right message.
We’ll be introducing some amazing “momtrepreneurs” so that you can be one, too. Right now, 15 percent of Fortune 500 companies have a woman on the board. But in Silicon Valley, that number drops to 7 percent. We’re out to start the conversation that changes the stats.
Moms are busy people. They need a place to “dish” about tech and broadcast it to the world. Product manufacturer’s need a mom forum to show off their coolest innovations. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce Mommy Tech TV. We’ll be broadcasting on the show floor bringing you the latest research and insights on the buying power of today’s social moms. We’ll chat with CEO’s and entrepreneurs and find out what goes into their secret sauce.
